i'm so grateful to have been able to assist Tremain Smith's encaustic's class at Penland this past week. magical penland. also to have made lasting friendships with precious beautiful artists.

this one was inspired by my visit to the Everglades. which for some mysterious reason, felt all wrong. maybe this was a way to alchemize the experience. the beauty that somehow got mixed up with sadness and grief.
