i've recently started to pick up the books i have of Christo's work again and read through them. as i read the things he says about art, i feel myself coming back to life. he has been one of my favorite artists for a long time and i continue to be inspired by him. i love him. his are the reasons i make art.
i still remember what Jeanne-Claude said at the Gates project in Central Park in 2005, when i asked her and Christo for advice; She said this is what they tell young people,
"figure out what you want to do and do it."
